Ouch. My In Win 909 took a hit =(

I need to complete the claims form which I still havnt done, I will be doing that today though, been working away so havnt had time. I don't see there being too much of a problem though. I also have had a proposition which I am not allowed to talk about yet, but needless to say it far exceeds the price that I would want for the hardware.

ive worked for many delivery companies and they all the same, chucking, dropping, they dont care, mean i worked for city link in my early 20's(im 30) and i ordered £300 of home cinema speakers(no all in one job) and knew it was coming through my depot, so had a look as wasnt my section and the speakers were wedged in the corner of cage and my sub box had an hole in it(had to collect this from another depot), thankfully was no actual damage products, but i made sure i never had anything sent with them again..

if its not their own they dont care is what the attitude of these places seem to be.
This exactly. I've seen this myself which is why I wrap stuff in tonnes of bubble wrap to give it a chance of arriving undamaged/dented.

Yeh me too, unfortunately, because my case was the one of, if not the first, to leave the factory to anywhere other than In Win HQ. It didn't come in the usual box that they send things out in. It was still adequately packaged though.

had this through today, a little bit of a vague message though. Does this mean my claim is settled and I will be getting money for the damage? grrrr.

Guess I will have to ring In Win when they are working tomorrow!

Normally the standard excuse is the item wasn't packaged correctly.

I've had experience of this as well, lucky just a cheap office PC £20 case mangled, now when I have to ship a PC I double box it when possible, having a significant void zone between both boxes.

I know in this case you didn't ship it. :/

I hope for the best possible outcome for you !!

Having worked for delivery companies, the packages are treated like they are a pain in the butt and 'a problem'. Stuff was thrown, drop kicked with positively no care, and almost hoping it would break.

This is managements responsibility to watch their staff (not be overbearing though), and actually train to be ethical and the standards expected. Most don't care.

Package your stuff if you are sending it like it is going to be dropped or thrown. They don't treat anything with care, 'handle with care' means nothing.

I thought it was the incentive to kick the ever loving crap out of it?

well, looks like they have offered 1 USD :D !

YAY!

aaah well, In Win have sorted me out either way, so it is their loss i guess. Just gutted that my work has gone down the pan :D
