As the title states.. Running windows 10 4770k at 4.4 with 16gb of DDR 3 at 2000mhz. I have 290x's crossfire with crossfire disabled for fallout 4.Done all the fixes like disabled God rays and volumetric lighting. I also lowered tessilation in CCC, I am on the latest drivers. Using a freesync benq monitor of that helps. Really doing my head in, kind of wished I would have got it directly off steam now for a refund.

Open Fallout4Pref.ini (located at C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\) and change iPresentInterval=1 to iPresentInterval=0

I have very similar spec to you and same monitor and had the 20fps issue. Doing the above worked for me and I haven't noticed any negative effects yet that send the physics crazy like in Skyrim.

I think I done that also Spudmaster, I set the FOV to 90 and removed the mouse acceleration at the same time. I will have to check when I finish my shift in the morning.

I'd default all .ini files and enable FreeSync vsync in CCC, could be the 60fps game limit not getting on with FreeSync vsync off.

I find every time I change the games graphics setting the ipresentinterval setting in the .ini defaults back to 1 so you may need to change it.

Freesync vsync? Do you mean just enable vsync in CCC cos I have freesync enabled but vsync set to application controlled. Would rather run with ipresentinterval at 1 to avoid any potential issues I may run into

I will try that also when I get home, although I will keep the FOV and mouse fix.

Yes, couldn't remember what's where, enable vsync so that FreeSync is locked.

You can set the ini to read only then the settings will stick for ipresentinterval.

Think I read somewhere too, that if you edit the ini's then you have to make them read only after or they will revert back to the original settings.

It sounds like for once I should be grateful I'm still using a basic 60hz 1080p Benq screen :D

I'm sure it'll all get patched up for you guy's. Basically this shows how you have to be patient with game releases, especially AMD users.

Its sounding like bethesda broke this game for AMD cards on purpose,
just like how skyrim is broken, also they are using the same technology for
animating the characters and similar level of texture detail, looks just as bad as skyrim without mods

Fixed it forced on v-sync and the framerate unlocked???? Now I have to use framerate control, at 90fps as I attempted to lock pick at 400fps great fun :)

Vsync forced on in ccc didn't work for me, still only 20 fps. Only way I can get more is by changing iPresentInterval to 0 and then limiting fps to 60 to make sure I don't get crazy physics like in Skyrim.
I have no issues running at 1440p with freesync on though so that's a bonus I guess :)

should have said I have to use PresentInterval 0 to get the FPS I also have to use forced Vsync. Freesync works, I have to run it off one card & now I have to limt the game to 60 fps. As I kept getting stuck on computer terminals :(
