How to apply for it?

1. Register the product within 30 (thirty) days of original purchase by sending an email with the subject:
"G1 Gaming warranty registration" to this email address. The email must contain two attachments:

a) proof of purchase (invoice or receipt), scanned or photographed
b) photo of full serial number (EAN + SN) sticker from the ATX power connector (example)

The e-mail must also contain the following details in text:
Date of purchase, place of purchase, model name, serial number (e.g. SN150123456789 - where to find).

2. After receiving the above information we will send you 4 Year Warranty Certificate. The Certificate together with the proof of purchase will be needed in case of any future product's warranty claim.

4. In case of product failure you need to contact GIGABYTE UK RMA department.

This warranty applies only to products purchased from UK & IRL retailers via UK & IRL distributors.
All Terms and Conditions are included with 4 Year Warranty Certificate.

Hmmm cant copy+paste the included email link, but its - [email protected]

Just a heads up, I was waiting couple of weeks for them to get back to me (almost a month). You have to be patient:)

Just had a email from Gigabyte saying they have my imfomation for the 4 yr warranty,why did it take them so long just to get to this stage.

No but it would have been nice to get a email saying they had my imfomation at the start.

Well why would you want that one?

BTW: The 'Z170X-UD5 TH' thunderbolt variant is available for pre-order at many UK retailers. That's probably a bit better.

I don't need Thunderbolt but the UD5 has 2 x M.2 4x slots so can use 2 x SM951 or Pro950 in RAID. They also have aluminium covered pcie slots which should help with transporting systems.

Just built a system based on the Z170X-Gaming 7, was my first Gigabyte board being a long term Asus fan and gotta say very impressed so far.

Looks the same as my gaming 7 apart from the GT has thunderbolt.

Yeah I kind of thought that too, the differences are minimal. Although the Gaming 7 should have Thunderbolt too?

The only differences I see are;

2 x audio gain control switches
2 x BIOS switches
Support for Q-Flash Plus
* The USB flash drive must be a USB 2.0 flash drive.

So what justifies the price difference I wonder, or maybe I overpaid at $320...?

@KonfuciousK

Except the differences you've already found between Z170X-Gaming GT and Gaming 7 here are the next ones:

1.) more VRM power phases
2.) 1 more TI Burr Brown OPA2134 operational amplifier
3.) more PCB layers

P.S. I haven't posted GT reviews as this model is not available in UK (and whole Europe) at all.

Took me a while to find out I couldn't install win7 on the g7 with a usb cd drive and had to get a sata drive to do so,but I've found the video from gigabyte explaining how to use a usb memory stick to install win7.
