R9 390 in Carbide Air 240

According to Corsair, the 240's max GPU length is 290mm, and PCS+ R9 390 8GB GDDR5 is 305mm in length according to PowerColor themselves (but reviewers have measured the card as 290mm).

But Corsair's max GPU length of 290mm is not including the space that they reserved for having a rad mounting at the front, so if you are not installing a rad at the front, it will give a few extra cm clearance for the GPU.

Here you will see Corsair's own picture of the 240 with the reference 290/290x (278mm in length) in it:

...so if you are not installing a rad at the front, with the PowerColor PCS+ R9 390 it should leave you with rougly 1cm or so gap from the front intake fan.

But I can't say I can guarantee anything, as I just giving you my opinion base on the information I found for your to consider.

PCS+ R9 390 8GB GDDR5 is not 305mm.... my GTX980TIs are 282mm in legnth so theres no danger that that is 305.

My tis fit comfortably in my 240 air case INCLUDING my GTXH100i water block and fans mounted on the front

Although I respect that you are trying to help, but whilst I agree that the PowerColor PCS+ R9 390 should fit in the Corsair 240 fine, I disagree with the way of your apple to orange logic of "since my 980Tis are only 282mm long, there's no way the 390 is 305mm".

You have to bare in mind that cards can be longer due to the way of the custom coolers are, and the PowerColor PCS+ R9 390 has 3 fans for the graphic cooler. If you think the card is not 305mm, go ahead and inform PowerColor they have the wrong spec on their product page.

Although I have just read through a few different posts and websites and people have the Gigabyte G1 card which is 309mm in length AND also have an H100 as well
