im using BO3 as the benchmark again because F4 needs better CPU nevermind GPU and the fact i havent looked at any more game reports yet.

http://www.game-debate.com/games/in...Force GTX 750&checkSubmit=#systemRequirements

so anyone thats not used this before, you either select your syetem from drop downs or like ive done and used 'Auto Detect'... once you get the report it shows a bottleneck it will give you an option to 'Remove' which in turn selects the best or ideal replacement product..

so in my case, the older HD 7950 was selected?, but up on further comparison while the radeon is better in certain things i dont quite get how it would suggest an older card to play a brand new released game.

heres the comparison.

edit: ironically if i added a gtx 960 of some kind a Xenon E5-2608L would be the ideal cpu to remove bottleneck lol and thats a server cpu

sorry yes that is what i basically mean..

i know the gtx is mid range, but other than a certain few figures the card is better than the radeon on paper, is there something in the architecture or something that differs?

im not looking for a card yet as i want other upgrades first and right now i dont own anything that is too much for my system, i just wouldnt want to go backwards and buy an older card based on a generated suggestion that doesnt bottleneck cpu.

Do you mean you can't understand why a 7950 is better than a 750?

The 750 is not better than a 7950 on paper:
- The 750 has higher core and memory clock speeds (which might be what you are referring to)
but
- The 7950 has a much wider memory bandwidth (384-bit vs 128-bit) and the 7950 has more shaders (1792 vs 640)

Between those two points the 7950 is considerably more powerful (despite the lower clock speeds).

again sorry that is also what i meant, i was basing off more greens on the comparison site i linked.. i shouldve put 'seem' in to the sentence..

so is the bandwidth and the shaders the main key to being a very good card? so much info ive read about what matters and what doesnt its hard to understand the exacts..

mean im no idiot, but if i saw the comparison id probably still have the gtx for the simple fact that its newer and in my eyes the speed of the clocks make up for the shader and bandwidth short comings.

there is nothing special about it

The 7950 was a mid-high end card when it first launched the 750 is a high low end card ( not mid range ) when it was launched. }

The 750 is a good card for the money.

What you have to understand here is the model numbers for cards mean absolutly nothing. For examply a GTX780TI is faster than say the GTX960 even though the 960 is a "new generation" card

The 7950 has more than double the texture mapping units of the 750... almost double the floating point performance, double the render out processors... so on and so fourth.

If i remeber correctly the 750 was based of the old GT660.... the 7950 went up against the GTX680 in that generation and beat it making it the much more powerful card

ah right okay then thanks for putting more prospective on it..

okay then so the next question would be what would be the next stage in replacing my card without going older and not causing any bottlenecks?

Only thing the 750 is better is power consumption.
Its like comparing a new Fiat500 vs an older BMW, the Fiat is newer and consumes less fuel, the BMW is much more powerful.
The difference in performance is big:

If you want newer, and stay on NV side, the GTX960 could be a good one. If AMD will do then 380 or 380X

thanks for that..

well as my computer is originally called a GTX gaming computer then if i change before my 1yr of the computer is up then i will keep to that title :D..

that graph isnt showing FPS is it? as on ultra i get anywhere from high 30s to low/mid 50s online(offline dont interest me as not new to game) depending on action and always play with fraps on.

edit: wouldnt the 960 bottleneck my cpu? ..

my brother has this \/ \/, but currently on an LGA775 board with a Q6600 till he upgrades, so ill be interested to hear/see how it performs
