Whats the difference between the "normal" windforce 980Ti and this new Gigabyte Extreme 980Ti?

Anyone know?

Boost clocks will be higher on the extreme. Not sure if components are uprated as well but maybe someone can confirm.

Theese hark back to the fantastic SOC cards that gigabyte produced. The 400 series were clocked pretty high and ran much cooler than the standard models.

I take you referring to the Windforce Xtreme and not the Waterforce version.

• Bigger capacity (TDP) cooler.
• High grade parts and more power phases
• The Aerospace coating for protection against moisture.
• LN2 BIOS (with switch) and an extra 6pin.
• RGB logo and angle eyes.
• Passive mode and one of the fans spins the other way to introduce better airflow.

If you are going to spend money on a TitanX do it in style, get an EVGA SC one and add a waterblock.:D

I don't want to mess with proper watercooling. To much effort :p

Yeah as I'm saving up money will be harder to resist as it will be sat there waiting for Pascal etc..

That custom Gigabyte Titan X looks really nice, but I will try to resist and keep saving for Pascal and whatever AMD cooks up on the die shrink as well.
