** POTENTIALLY THE BEST GAMING MONITORS YET!! ** Acer 34" Ultra-wides

I hope you're on the wind up. If not your misunderstanding is gargantuan.

You've clearly never used a camera your whole life.

Video recording does not overexpose like taking a photo does on Mobile Cellphones. Thus you screengrab the video rather than take a photo. Look at my pics I posted here. Maybe you'll understand but I doubt you will.
The video screengrab is closer to reality than the photo.

My digi cam is old and basic but was to hand and the only alternative is my action camera but that might work better in the dark. That's what I assumed from your post.
Read above.

I had a go and it went the other way but then it was under artificial light so not ideal. Still it shows there's nothing glaringly wrong with these monitors.

I did find an annoying limit though which I guess is the nVidia card but with a 2nd DVI monitor plugged in direct or via a display port adapter G-Sync disables and the monitor is limited to 60Hz. Worked fine with the 40" VA panel via DP but that's gone downstairs for TV duties. So I'll have to find another DP monitor as a secondary.

Not a hint of back light bleed there, I am impressed. Thanks for posting. :)

So mine turned up today, so far I can't find any faults and I have been trying very hard, the NV test was very smooth no lines, no coil whine, no dead pixels, wakes from sleep BLB very good indeed. Could it be this is a new improved batch or can I expect some problems in a few days?

As for the monitor as some of you know I have made the switch from my beloved 4k, the first thing that hit was my god the lack of pixels on the desktop, then the second thing was Jesus the colour is fantastic, my 4k TN panel felt like black and white compared to this it was so washed out. Then I booted up a game, BF4, and I was like nope the X34 is going back look at them jaggies it's horrible but I then realised due to running 4k I wasn't running any AA, this made things better.

I still cannot make my mind up, the monitor looks cool as ****, the colours are better than I have ever seen and the ultra wide is very nice. But writing this now I can see the pixels surrounding this font, not a problem with 4k.

Heres some pics, red or white light??

Hello, long time lurker here.

I received my X34 last monday, here's what I got:
- no blue color scaling problem
- no horizontal scanlines (g-sync on, less than 60fps with pendulum test)
- less BLB than on several earlier monitors I've had
- neglible IPS glow
- 100 FPS no problem
- no coil whine or other sounds whatsoever (brightness 34)
- no problems with backlights

but I do have a problem with the blue color. On a 0/0/255 blue color and shades lighter than that you can clearly see darker vertical lines across the whole monitor. This also affects white as there's blue in it. You don't see this in games or movies, but on website backgrounds and some youtube videos this becomes obvious even on (my personal) normal viewing distances.

I'm sad to say for this reason only I will be returning the product to my retailer next monday but my question is this. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I to expect the same thing to occure on all replacement monitors?

So, finally had a chance to set this thing up. Did not disappoint! Don't think I have ever giggled running the heaven benchmark :D

This thing is close to perfect in my opinion, Acer seem to have learnt from the XB27HU fiasco... which I was mixed up in. Kind of glad I returned it, or I wouldn't have gotten this beast!

Ordered from OCUK on Thursday and can say none of the issues that have been going around can be seen on this sample.

Same as the previous posts, went streight to 100Hz, no coil whine, etc, etc.

There's a slight bit of IPS glow bottom left and top left, however nothing my previous Dell didn't have.

Well done Acer!

Beautiful photo, you even made me go into my settings to find the "purple" light haha

I assume it's actually set to white and it's just the purple background?

For the record, no issues with my XR34 either...well, there is a very small issue with the lights underneath when I select "ripple" but Acer themselves are looking into this.

:) Yeah, it's set to white, too lazy to play around with the camera to get a "white" look. Definitely less purple IRL. The LED underneath is a nice touch. People that have seen it ask if I put them there :D

Really sorry to be a noob peasant but is this screen an ultrawide 1440P screen or an ultrawide 4K screen please?

Really want to buy this if its the 1440P as i know one 980TI should run fine and dont want to have to buy 2!

Also does the 75hz/100hz have that smooth feel still after going from 60hz to 120hz that was an amazing smooth increase!

Regards
