Hi guys

I just re did the water in my PC, dusted it all down etc.

Put the new loop in, pressed start and nothing happens.

The PC was working perfectly until this.

Ive reset CMOS, removed PCI stuff, RAM, CPU reseat, tested the PSU with paper clip, new CMOS battery

None of its helped.

All lights are on on the mobo, the power and reset, the CMOS reset on the back. all lit. but power does nothing, no fans spin, even the mobo integrated fan doesnt start.

All pins are seated correctly, everything seems perfect.

I cant imagine the board is dead when power lights are on, and it was working perfectly up till now... but it isnt cabling or seating of anything, so i dont know what else to try.

Any help?

Probably short some where try outside case. Check all MB stand off for short. Also check water blocks not too tight.

the mobo wasnt taken out, its still in place where it was when it was working last, the block could bee too tight, is that a thing? would that cause it not to boot? ill ease it off a bit and see what happens

edit, checked and cant see anything that could possible cause a short, loosened the block and it didnt help at all, took a pic to show the lights are on, just nothing wil power up...

From the amount of thread showing on the block it looks like you have tightened it down as far as it will go. When I has a Supreme HF I never tightened it anywhere near that much. Take the cpu out and check the pins and socket for damage.

i used a fine paint brush and dusted into a vaccum that was held away from the PC. I dont think this is a static issue.

I have reseated all ram, and yes ive had the cmos battery out for half hour and tried a new one as well

Why did you use a paint brush? That is more or less the same as the bristles on the vacuum rubbing up and down with the dust. After all they are nylon.

An air can would have done it. I've even found the rocket blowers work well. Takes a bit longer though but still works.

Did you try booting without the cooler?
I'd be double checked that backplate bud. I've had nightmares with backplates touching and shorting the back of the board if not installed correctly (also certain designs can be dodgy with certain motherboards)- saying all that though its not like you've changed anything.

Asus boards usually light up the LED's and give a code if its a problem with CPU, RAM etc - your not even getting that far which doesn't sound good unfortunately!

Let us know how it goes dude

tried cmos reset? Do you get any Q-codes on the LED panel at all when you power it on?

Id also try bios No.2 as i see the board has dual bios chips aswell.
