Why do they have to drive you bonkers and ram them down your throat? Its not even December yet

Bah humbug!!

Had the TV on earlier, had to mute the adverts, they're all god awful. I think Argos wins the 'Worst of the Year' award again.

Could be worse....spare a thought for poor buggers like myself who work in retail where its rammed down ya throats and it all starts in sept for us.... all I do is blank them out as much as I can. And I sky+ most stuff now so just ffwd thru the ads

The John Lewis one is the absolute **** of them all.

Taken a fairly decent tune and absolutely butchered it.

The ones I hate the most are the rip off versions of the "better" adverts. Remember all the ultra slow M&S adverts where they'd show jizzworthy food porn? Now remember when Aldi etc tried to replicate it with awful results?

Not just any food! M & S food!

we live in a world where we don't need to be stuck wasting our lives watching adverts and then complaining about them online. record tv and watch it later, fast forwarding the adverts. if you're watching it live, record it and start 10 minutes behind.

use adblocker for internet browsing. i'm yet to see a single xmas advert. the only time i've even seen an image of one is friends sharing them on faceyb.

this is a forum for those who know how to use tech better than others. learn to rule tech, not let it rule us. it amazes me when i see friends and family just sat for 5 minutes every 12 minutes of a tv programme watching adverts!

You can't escape them though?

Just make decent adverts, instead of annoying tosh

Annoying gets to your head and makes you remember though, a trick most notably employed by the various insurance comparison websites.

Record tv to skip the ad breaks, adblock + everywhere it can go and despair at how it doesn't work in the android yt app.

The Sainsbury's one is worth a watch, largely because it isn't really an advert. It's an animated short based on Mog (the character from Judith Kerr's books). It was made by the house behind Paddington the Movie.
