Covered litter tray? They have to go inside to do their business. We never bothered with them until he got a bit too old and infirm to do his business outside easily.
So, the little buggar started so well with the litter tray, and now he feels the need to pee and poo right on the carpet. 2 weeks of perfect usage, now the last few days it's been on the carpet. We've added a 2nd little tray to where he's had his deliberate accidents, but still has gone on the carpet right next to the tray a couple of times.
What to do, other than ask him to move out?
(Carpet cleaner has been ordered...)

Following on from my thread about Millie's appalling eating habits where she takes finicky, with my help I might add, to the extreme. I decided after much research and a chat to my vet to take what I thought would be drastic action. Not only for her but more importantly for me as she knows that she can wind me round her paw, so to speak.
Anyway the new regime is she gets fed twice a day with a pouched food I know she eats or has done in the past. She has around an hour to eat then any remains are removed.
Day one: She did not eat any breakfast and proceeded to sulk and avoid me the whole day. In the evening she again turned her nose up until she thought no one was looking and then ate the lot. She is still sulking with me.
Day two: She did not eat her breakfast when put down to her but when I went for a shower she decided to have a nibble but stopped as soon as I came into the room gave a meow which in the past would mean I would get her something else. This time I ignored her abut when I arrived back from a Dr's appointment there was a clean bowl.
She is still sulking but less so as she is in her cupboard spot beside me at the moment.
We are up to day five and although she does not immediately eat the food put down to her I think she has finally realised that I am not going to pander to her foodie whims.
Still a bit stand offish but we are getting there.
Anyone got any good cat toys for two 10 week old kittens that work at arms length. Preferably durable if expensive or cheap if I have to replace it regularly.
Laser pen (powered by two aaa's), couple of quid from EBay. Hours of fun.

My worry is that things like that are pretty much just another washing machine: scary, dull, interesting, dull, interesting, scary, dull, dull, washing what?
Unless you have one or something similar that you can definitely say that beyond the first few minutes of what the heck is that and should I be scared of it moments extend into this is cool I want to run my paws off.![]()
Shouldn't this thread be merged with the proper Show us your cats thread?
I bought one ages ago when I just had two cats, they played with it for a bit, then never bothered with it. When I got my 3rd cat as a kitten, I got it out again and he loved it. Plays with it daily, he's also got the other two interested in it, and so I wonder if it's because he was introduced to it as a kitten. The other two see him playing with it, and are now like "Oooh what's that?" and then in turn play with it themselves.
