Well to say im miffed at corsair is a bit of an understatement. I RMA'd 2 fans as they where rattling, and got sent two via their express replacement service. New ones arrived and then realised that actually 3 of the fans where rattling not two (great start the fans are 6 months old) so i updated my ticket saying sorry but i need to replace a 3rd now and dont want to send these two back as annoyingly you have to send them back to the netherlands (at my expense) so said send me the 3rd and i will send all 3 back well that was 23rd of last month i updated my ticket and noting. Apart from the fact they have charged me for the two replacements they sent me. so i still have a rattly fan (SP120) and have now paid for 5 fans and only have two that work and Corsair not replying to my ticket.

Have to say have never had an issue with corsair in the past but now i do. I have had enough of their fans now letting me down my AF140 randomly stopped working (that was 2 years old but still) so out of principle i think im going to contact my credit card and request they reverse the transaction.

Corsair can have all the fans back if they want but im not sending them to the netherlands at my expense.

So what fans to people recommend ? need some good fans for my rads thinking of giving the Vardars a go.

i do love the vardars. have 6 FF5's running in my case on aio coolers. they only spin at around 50% and still keep my 290x at 55c max. idle around 35c with the weather being cold like it is now.

might want a f3 or something instead of 5's just for reduced noise but either way the performance is outstanding

im thinking of these, Love the fact i could run them at 25% for near silent and have 2200 rpm avaliable if needed in the summer etc ?

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £16.65
(includes shipping: £4.66)

can see the logic but even that might be overkill. hard to imagine what you would throw at it that needs more than 1,700 RPM tbh. also 1,700-1,900 is fairly loud if you''re not a headphone user. It's pretty hard to express how much performance you can get out of them. however the noise comes with it
