milking disaster media wise

news should be renamed to "BAD NEWS" - it's like nothing good happens in this world that they can't also report on - pfffft.

Hence why I don't watch the news.

Firstly, how long have MPs been a part of the media? Secondly, I didn't argue the point I just said that to you can't judge all members of the media on the actions of Kay Burley. That's akin to tarring all MPs with the same brush as Farage - they're not all racist xenophobic bigots.

Kay Burley is an embodiment of everything bad about Britain, but I'm pretty sure Sky put her up for it as they know she generates comment.

I also found it tragically hilarious that Sky were prepared to report all sorts of
hearsay off Twitter on Friday night but then tiptoed around calling it a terrorist attack. Bizarre.

Farage isn't an MP :D

I thought he was in the european parliament? My mistake if not.

I celebrated joyfully at his inability to win a seat here :)

Yeah, I'd already cancelled Sky but watch other news channels now. Sky are ****s and the BBC play too safe and tell the news too long after everyone else.

I can get past all the milking of the news, 24/7 news channels can be thanked for that (The Anchorman 2 scene about the car chase epitomises 24 hour news), I can get past the fact that Kay Burley is a vile person or at the very least acts that way in front of the camera, I can get past the innate smugness of Adam Boulton, I can get past the hidden agendas of various news outlets such as the Daily Mail as I can choose not to watch or read from those sources. What I can't get past and really ***** me off is that if I want to read or view what is happening outside what the major new outlets choose to milk, I have to search for it myself.

Edit: I was replying to two different forums and cross decked :/

I don't care if they milk a story, I don't need to listen to it, it's just annoying that they only focus on things that they know will result in them trending or being discussed.

Have the BBC actually admitted it was muslims who were behind the attack yet?

Normally they "forget to report" this fact for about a week until way past when everyone else has said it.

The terrorist is always
"a British person from Cleethorpe, who hacked 10 Jewish people to death while screaming "allahu akbar, death to all who insult Islam", however the identity and motive of the alleged assailant is unknown at this time..."

Every. Single. Time.
the BBC fall over themselves to be PC.

I find people making some long point on Facebook worse, I mean really who cares what you think? It's like a Britians most left wing competition.

I don't know, but I fail to see what that's got to do with my post?

I'm just sick of the media partially legitimizing the terrorist organizations by using the monikers they've given themselves (Islamic State, ISIL, Daesh, ISIS, Boko Haram Etc...) which link them to religion when really they're noting more than a conglomeration of murderous ****holes who can in no way justify their actions religiously or otherwise.

I don't really get the the Facebook profile pictures (French colours) thing. I just feel a certain amount are doing it for purely bandwagon/changing their profile picture reasons. Why not Lebanese or Kenyan colours?

I don't get it either, and therefore haven't put it on mine.

I'm expecting someone to have a go at some point for me not having done it.

because it's a popularity contest and if you don't join in with the 'who's the most lefty' competition you lose.

Same, it seems totally pointless. I'm also a bit fed up of being told to pray for things. The world needs less praying and more rational thinking.

Kay Burley...

used to think she was fit back in the day

time hasnt been kind

That's her soul rotting her away from the inside

learnt something from watching hansel and Gretel: witch hunters last night.....

Real witches are easy to spot. They're really ugly. Evil seeps out, from the inside, rotting away their faces.

kay burley is a witch....and that's official
