Which is your favorite MP COD game ?

Got a video of it somewhere but I think its on a RAID array with a failed motherboard :(

Found another video just after I'd just missed a nuke by one kill - wiped the entire enemy team the first time they tried to take the flag I'm defending, died and then trying to hold it against them again on the respawn (hence I'm playing a bit rubbish as my hands were shaking by that point) - the notification spam however is kind of hilarious in hindsight - won't lie I do miss that game.

Everything wrong and right in that game in that video lol.

I am going to get flamed, but I really enjoyed MW2, but then I only ever played Hardcore search and destroy.

They were all pretty good up to the p2p dross they implemeted.

How to kill a community. Well done Activision $$$$.

The P2P hosting was horrid... but unless you were on a truely terrible host even that outperformed the dedicated servers in BF4.

I really don't understand some of the game releases where they plainly have no understanding of the tools/features that make multiplayer communities thrive its like some of them have never actually played a game outside of maybe a console environment.

You do realise how bad p2p matchmaking was in MW2 on PC when you change the standard 4 (or 5?) ping bars to either numbers or 10-bars.

I have two steam accounts that were banned for hosting MW2 on a dedicated server.

Biggest joke of them all is that all bans are lifted in MW2 now by Steam and you can play regardless of VAC ban. So you can quite literally download a wallhack and play away without fear of losing access to the game.

In order of preference/possibly most time played

CoD:waw zomx mod
CoD1/UO much fun beating my hopeless workmate to death with a smoke grenade
CoD 2 bolt rifles only/melee servers

last one I played was the 1st black ops, doing away with dedicated servers rang the death knell of cod for me, only reason I even tried blops was I was given it as a xmas present, hated having steam forced on me, & the clunky unresponsive menus it had.

World At War. WWII setting, Bolt-actions without sights, nice open maps and vehicles. It's the only CoD game I've played long enough to reach max prestige.

CoD4 - Normal multiplayer was great... then the free official maps added in the patches (Chinatown, creek etc). Then found mods like freeze-tag, paintball etc. Lots of fun.
I don't recall any free maps or modding really taking off in any others after that. At most a tiny bit in black ops 1, but they were always super buggy.

Really miss the days of COD 2 & 4.

That type of community gaming seems to have died with modern titles. It was the main draw for me to PC gaming.

I would have to go with MW followed closely by MW2 with BO2 in third.

Been playing a lot of CoD 4 recently, still has a very active online community.

COD4 for me, the first one to come out on PS3. I remember my mate calling me to come over as he'd 'found counter-strike for playstion'. A 5 hour session with increasing number of mates coming over for 4 player split screen ensued and I was in agreement :D

In terms of how much I enjoyed them:
MW2
WaW
BO2
CoD4
BO1
...
...
...
...
...
MW3

Never played anything before 4 and anything after BO2.
