There is no vaccine for HIV that I'm aware of so I'm not sure what difference it would make.

Where did I state that a vaccination for this particular virus exists? I didn't, although there is medication (Truvada) to prevent contracting it, but it has to be taken daily.

I was making a point about his stance on preventing the spread of diseases and viruses, or lack there of, now that he's caught one.

So from what i'm reading, an HIV + person these days has as long of a life expectancy as someone who's normal...

So what does it mean these days to have aids? just can't shag anyone ? or at least with them being comfortable about it, and you spending lots on meds ?

A vaccine is to coax your immune system into forming a defence against the actual pathogen by using either an attenuated form of the pathogen or some of its epitope markers. This is done as a preventative measure.

Seeing as he actually has the virus it wouldn't do much good as his body already has the actual pathogen to form a defence against. However the virus itself attacks the immune system which is why it is so serious.

All that said I understand where you are coming from but a vaccination isn't a cure.

Also, while on topic, people that object to vaccinations are idiots.

HIV+ can develop into AIDS. AIDS is bad.
