Kay Burley...

I don't know how or why Sky have kept her employed. She must be banging the CEO.

I remember seeing a documentary a long time ago. She helped front Sky News at the very beginning. So there will still likely be a lot of contacts. Including the Royals.

Burley was recruited by Andrew Neil, and joined Sky Television, launching the Sky One Entertainment Channel in November 1988 with her own documentary The Satellite Revolution. She moved to the fledgling Sky News in 1988.

Sky News just comes off to me as Fox News with a stricter regulator. I'm sure they've love to go in that direction if they could.

Fox News is the sister channel.

Sky News launched February 5, 1989
Fox News launched October 7, 1996

the dog's understanding of the geopolitical impact of militant action by Islamic fundamentalists may be rudimentary at best...

Rather like Mrs Burleys....

NickK, she has a long history of being the sort of "reporter" that you'd think was from a parody of news reporting if you just saw a clip without knowing her actual job (or a clip without the sky news branding).

It's like she took Drop the Dead Donkey and Anchorman as educational material on how to be a news reporter.

She has from memory:
Chased grieving relatives up escalators.
Walked through blood to get a better shot.
Told a relative of a missing child live on air that the child was dead.

And those are just 3 examples of her actions that spring to mind.

The dog picture is just another minor one, she is actively acting like a parody of a news reporter now, I'm just wondering when she'll start carrying a slightly grubby and singed doll in her bag for when she turns up and needs a good emotive shot.

They're more or less all the same. Didn't Colin Brazier start going through some of the dead's belongings from the plane crash....

That is the most perfect example of "error in judgement" you will ever see. :(

She managed to offend me when grilling Peter Andre about his kids and I don't even like Peter Andre.

I think they must have implanted a borg chip into her brain during one of her numerous plastic surgery procedures.
