Upgrade a 7970 for £280

I've been frugal for a couple of months so I'll have some money to spend! This budget includes selling my 7970. What card would you recommend?

This budget seems to be a little short of a 390X- is it sensible to go second hand to get a 390x over a 390? Is there a big performance difference?

I game at 1080p and have a 4770K at 4.7GHz.

390 is want for that money, msi is the best card of the 390's but is £289.99.

If you can find a 390x for the same price or less, i would go for that.

The 390 is about 8-10% slower than a 390X. If you overclock the 390 then it can match a 390X in most cases.

But if you overclock the 390x it's once again faster

But yea the 390 is better value for money for sure. The extra ££ for few percent faster gpu isn't worth it. Translates to a couple to a few FPS at best.
