I get perhaps 6-8 a day and usually log into BT mail and mark them as spam then do same when they get to Cyberfox.

Can anyone identify what the square symbol is - is it a character in Windows - if so how do I then set up a this is spam if this character is in title line.

They seem to come in bunches - like same people change the title on a regular basis then I start again marking them as spam

Edit - Opps - must learn how to do it - Sorry

I did look at forum headings and couldn't decide which one to post this in.

I don't get those, no. However, I constantly get emails about penis enlargement. It's really annoying. I wish my partner would stop sending them to me already.

The strange symbols will more than likely be smiley faces or other iconography from Apple hardware, it appears they bake the smileys into the character set itself.

Spam is getting pretty complex, it's tailored to you now it seems. I'm getting penis reduction adverts.

Unfortunately Gmail isn't my favourite email - I use Thunderbird.

If I could stop them coming into my BT email account I would be happy - marking them as spam helps so after a few weeks spam stops till they create a new format for it and in it comes again.

I am sure it's coming in on one of my BT disposable emails but can't figure out which one then I could delete it.

If you use Thunderbird as your client tool what difference does it make who the hoster is ? Just don't download the emails, keep them on the server and read them on the server.

Gmail has great spam filters and does a great job stripping out the junk

Use Gmail or set up an inbox with a billion forwarding accounts for everything you sign up to. When spam comes in you'll know who sold you out and you can delete the forwarding rule and jobs done.
