Hi Guys,

Before I strip my system down to ascertain whether my Titan X is dead can you suggest any other things to try?

My set up is 3 titan x with dual loop cooling. I have Rampage V Extreme and this board has on board PCI slot status. The first three PCI slots are where the cards are installed. 1 & 3 are lit up but 2 is not.

I have re installed drivers.
I have changed the power cables to check it wasn't them.

Anything else worth trying before I drain it all down and try it in another slot?

Not sure if linked but I had a faulty M2 SM951 drive that I had to take out and then I had to reinstall windows. I think the second card stopped working at that point but can't be sure.

Lift out all three cards and then refit into the PCI-E slots.

I had a watercooled GTX 980 that failed to light up along with the others and it turned out to be not properly seated in the PCI-E slot.

Edit

Just noticed you are using rigid tubing so doing the above may be impossible.

Should you not be using slots 1,3,5 rather then 1,2,3?

E: looking at the board it doesn't have a slot 2, can you confirm you're using the first 3 red slots? All is not lost with hard line, you'll still have a little play, slacken all of the pci bracket screws and give each card a good push in and make sure to hold them in when screwing back down.

Should be in slot's 1,2,4

There is no slot 2 on an rve...

They've labelled it wrong (well IMO), slots should be identified by which pci bracket they sit in rather the just listing them numerically from top to bottom, the way I see it is the board has 7 slots and slot 2 is empty.

But other then that and going by the manual rather then my logic, yes 1,2,4 is correct and the way I look at it is 1,3,5 which is also correct :p

Could be the board. I had one on mine completely fail (same board). It was running fine then suddenly rebooted with just 1 pcie lane lit up. Swapped the cards over and same thing. I RMA to amazon (replacement board in within 24 hours).

One reason I am happy I went with flexi tube. As I tested both cards, took the mobo out in a few hours. Hard line is going to be a pain.

The boards indicator LEDs only show the full red lanes which is 1-4. Although its different in the manual.

after looking at your build log I hope to god its not broke I wouldnt know where to Start with that loop lol

Looking at that brochure then it is slots 1,2 & 4. Although on the on board pci status it is 1,2&3!

Are we going purely on the status lights or does Windows only detect 2 cards?

Windows only detects two cards

I know :( Serves me right! To be honest I was about to start stripping it all down to move into a CaseLabs SM8 anyway so probably not end of the world.
