Signal is much better. Good for multiple devices and useful if it's on a different network to phone. Dedicated GSM for the other features on the car typically come with it aswell such as emergency/breakdown call and other interactions.

My Golf has a cigarete lighter plug in the boot. If the Fiesta has one then get a mifi and power it from that.

I've have it on my current car that I've owned for over 2 years and have only ever used it to test it works or show it to someone. I generally love any gadget on a car and even scoured the country for the right A6 with the tech pack but really just don't get the point of a wifi hotspot when I have tethering on my mobile.
