Assassin's Creed: Syndicate - NVIDIA GameWorks

Sounds like another quality gimpworks title :p

Does look nice though but battlefront looks far better and runs superbly well....

There's more going on in Battlefront, Huge explosions, Shots fired, Butt tons of particle effects, Lots of players and the graphics are superb.

So why does that run miles better than Syndicate when Syndicate looks around the same as a 1 year old game AKA Unity

Ubi need to step their game up, Not acceptable.

I thought Battlefront looks stunning as well and whilst my frames were really good with that, AC:S is another looker but at the cost of performance. UBI do make some great games but they really need to optimise better.

I could have sworn people on here said that all gameworks effect were available to AMD users though....

Then they would be wrong. There is a few GameWorks options that are only available to Nvidia users, quite like there is some AMD only Aliasing options only available in some games.

There was CFAA and MLAA as well if I recall correctly.

I'm not sure I care much for TXAA, it's better than nothing but I'd rather just force a little MSAA through control panel and use nVidia's MFAA on top.

Yer I like MFAA and it isn't too demanding either.

Out of interest, what's the difference between TAA & TXAA?

TAA can introduce flickering whereas TXAA is supposed to stop that. I can't really say I am a fan of either in truth and MFAA is the best I have seen. Worth forcing it on in games that support it Arc.

Cheers, Greg. Yes, I've noticed some flickering with it on as well, though I don't know if that was the precise cause (in my case). :)

Quite a while back I did some experimenting with the various AA's available and TAA was flicking for me as well. I used Nvidia inspector to force many different AA's and some games work better than others for differing AA's and if you ever find yourself bored, it is worth having a play.

Thanks, I haven't tried using that for a long time. Must make a mental note. :)

Finally got my key - note to others, avoid g2play like the plague.

Hopefully should be up and running late this evening (50gb download??). Last one I played was black flag, which I enjoyed up until it asked me to go stealth in a big **** off ship, which was so illogical I stopped playing it.

EQAA was one in Dirt Showdown (I think it was that one) that wasn't available to Nvidia users and some form of lighting.
