***Lumia 950/950XL***

The biggest thing making me think of cancelling my pre-order is that there is no "Apple Pay" like service for the Windows Mobile, I use my contactless card loads and being able just to be able to "whip out my phone" instead might just be a deal breaker which is a shame :(

Just imagine there would be problems with reflections and such. Would still prefer a fingerprint reader myself, far more proven and reliable technology at this point.

I have a flip case for my 930 which has card slots where I have my contactless card.
 
I really want the 950xl and despite the fact I should know better, I've pre-ordered from Amazon whilst it's at the lower price. I've got several days to come to my senses and cancel. But I didn't want to miss out on the price, as knowing my luck it'll jump back up and I'll have missed the boat.

If it wasn't for the fact my 920's battery-life is so poor and the temporary replacement phone (a BLU from Amazon) is annoying me something rotten, I'd have more will-power to wait. /banghead
 
Must be due to start receiving these soon? I ordered for the first expected delivery day (by 3rd Dec) from the MS website using their option of buying via Unlocked Mobiles and the last email I received was about my order going through security. Credit card was charged but not heard anything at all since - thought might have given some kind of update of expected delivery etc

They are what to expect, if you like WP then it's very good.
If you don't like WP/embedded elsewhere, then it's decent hardware but no reason to swap.

My problem with photo reviews, is they all take selected shots, use tripods and such like.

I want to know what just taking a photo like a normal person does.

Think mostly based around software and I believe that will change after some time. Windows 10 is only a few months old and the apps developed for it are supposed to be very easily portable to Win10 mobile with a few tweaks.

I've noticed Visual Studio 2015 has some great Android Dev capabilities and hopefully that'll also encourage development of Win 10 apps too, cross platform apps.

After using the Microsoft application in the Google store to check my installed google applications I've found most applications I currently use have an equiv under Windows 10.

Now just give me my phone already that I paid for a month ago, I want to have play :D

Yes, I have just seen the 950 for £419.99 and the 950 XL for I think(?) £469.99. The XL will also include the free purchase of the display dock worth £60+ which means the XL is really a better deal, if you can put up with the size.

Thinking about cancelling mine tomorrow too unless they price match and refund the difference (£30).
 
The 950xl has been £469.99 on Amazon for quite a while, pricematching CPW as far as I know. I pre-ordered the white in case the price jumped back up, but it hasn't happened. Part of me wants to wait a few months as I suspect the price will drop, but I'm no good at waiting. The dock helps.

EDIT; I've just looked and it appears the white is no longer available at that price. But the black still is.
