What have you done to your car today?

Back on the read plate lights...
My Rear number plate lights look like this:

The picture makes them look like the plate doesn't show etc. Regardless of whether they're LED or standard the floor lights up as they are at the furthest rear point of the car and low down so it doesn't take a lot. They look better in person though.

Ordered some more oil for the A3 - checked my order history and realised only used 3 Litres this year vs 8 Litres last year, so the uprated PCV breather I had fitted last December has definitely made a difference.

I'm sure they do look better in person but that's a silly amount of light for the rear plate

It's just white light, instead of yellow.. With a little more brightness. All bulbs in the car are LED/HID except rear light clusters are standard bulbs. I hate the look of the grim yellow stuff.

Love how everyone is getting upset over a set of number plate lights, I used to run them in my old car but now I just went for normal LED ones so they look more OEM

Made the screen power button LED on the head unit amber. The phone cannot get any lower exposure so excuse the brightness.

"Oh, that mrk, he must have changed the LED with his expert soldering skills! What a guy!" you're probably thinking.

Normally you'd be right, but the simplest solution in this case was the answer. Stuck a small piece of orange post it note in front of the white LED behind the button window :D

An idea that works is never a stupid idea :D

You haven't had it long have you? What are you getting to replace it?

Less than two months  I can't really decide to be honest.

A) A proper ECU remap is the "best" solution, but voids the warranty.
B) A module from MTM or ABT provides the same performance as a remap, and they include a drivetrain warranty, but the cost is really high.

The JB1 is fantastic for the price. If I could remove it at the roadside like you can with the MTM or ABT boxes, I'd keep it.

Why would you need to remove it at the roadside, unless you've not declared it then have a smash

Removed the alternator. Battery wasn't charging, despite it being new 2 weeks ago. Need a replacement but parts seem to be varying from £90 all the way up to £380...
