Just got a PS4 for my birthday and wondering if there is any awesome games I MUST get, currently enjoying Black ops 3 and LOVE racing games like NFS which i just completed.
Will be around christmas time and wouldn't be fussed about pre ordering just asking out of curiosity.
Any offers are appreciated, also links to where i can get them cheap too ;)

Also, if anyone has any recommendations on what a 16 year old could get for christmas, let me know, budget of about 500, i PC game also but my current rig is pretty high spec so not really looking to upgrade yet.

Driveclub is the best racing game on the PS4, grab that. Season Pass is only a fiver on the PS Store right now too.

Did you have a PS3? If not there's the Uncharted Collection and The Last of Us Remastered.

Last of Us (absolute must have, one of the best games in history)
Bloodborne
Infamous Second son
Uncharted collection

Think ill have to look into driveclub! Is the Season pass worth?
I did have a prisonbroken PS3 just ages ago and only played fifa and COD so ill grab them too

Replaying this at the moment, great story but worst controls in the history of gaming ever, like seriously awful, play it on easy for the story, forget trying to get trophies, it's a lesson in utter frustration and ridiculous controls.

Bloodborne absolutely and resogun too.

I'm another one that doesn't overly get on with Last of Us, but then I'm more of FPS that can be picked up and put down as I please, not a big fan of story games, backed-up by the fact I wasn't taken in by Uncharted either.

The game I can recommend is Borderlands (get the The Handsome Collection version). I've not played any game as much as Borderlands. I love the guns, the characters, the powering up system. I can waste a day on it, and then play it for an hour the next day just as easily.

The Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is so utterly massive you'd need a month of work to even scratch the surface!

edit:
Of the other games I've had, Shadow of Mordor was well worth a play, Devil may Cry held my attention to play a fair bit of it too.

Whats up with the controls? Just normal third person game layout if i remember correctly?

I also Vote bloodborne but remember, it isnt for everyone but its worth giving it the time! Wait a week or so and the full old hunter version is out with the new dlc and base game!

You can pick up Killzone quite cheap these days and imo it's a great game and a real graphical showcase for what the PS4 can do, I'd take it over COD etc.

You clearly never played Superman 64.

TLOU Remastered as mentioned above.
If you like space FPS, Destiny
If you like 3rd person adventure Tomb Raider (not a PS4 exclusive, but a great game. Not played the recently released second one yet)
If you like hard 2D platformers with a sense of humour, Oddworld Abe's Oddysee New 'N Tasty is great
If you want a good but fairly unforgiving racing game, Driveclub

Those would be my immediate thoughts!

Bloodborne is a must for PS4, dark souls 2 is also good if you like that sort of game (currently £20 on psn but can be got for that used anyway)

Last of us for me too, not played the remaster as I loved the original it can only be tainted.

GTA V if you haven't played it yet

Other games I have enjoyed on the ps4 are shadow of mordor, diablo 3, tomb raider and rocket league.

Until dawn gets good reviews but I haven't played it myself.

My picks;

Bloodborne

Fantastic game, but you require some patience to really get into it. Saying that, I thought it would be harder for me to get involved with it since I hadn't played the Souls series but that didn't seem to matter.

Rocket League

Relatively cheap PSN game, superb physics and replay value. Essentially a football game, for people who don't like football games! :D (Okay, I appreciate a lot of people will like both).

Fallout 4

Big newcomer, obviously, but so far my favourite game from the current gen. Highly recommended if you value story, brilliant rpg elements and an exploration environment over graphics (having said that, the graphics are absolutely fine).

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

Still trying to figure out what's actually going on, but basically it's a PSN birds eye view title (imagine the original GTA, but good). It's fast, twitchy and rewarding. Pick up and play and sort of game.

AC: Syndicate

You get to explore 19th Century London in all its glory. Need I say more?

COD: BLOPS 3

Looks like they've finally turned the series round with a decent COD now, after the previous two games (which I didn't have much sympathy for), this one is actually a fun game. I've yet to play the campaign but the multi-player is as addictive as the old MW's et al.

Super Meat Boy

Last gens finest platformer IMHO. A last gen game, sure, but still stands up well.

I'm yet to get over the 'hump' with Bloodborne, seriously lacks the polish of a proper AAA title but the core game loop is strong (allegedly). If you've not played Souls games before it may be a risky choice...not for everyone.

Destiny TTK is good value if you're into shooters.

Battlefront is good fun for short blasts.

AC:Syndicate is the best AC in a while, quite enjoy playing an hour here and there, looks great.
