Yeah I can't recommend going SLI with 780s these days - good boosting ones might have the core performance but you are going to be cutting it extremely fine VRAM wise in situations where having 2 of them is required.
If I was in any hurry to upgrade I'd be going single 980ti personally.
EDIT: Though a pair of the 6GB ones at £400 is an interesting option - a reasonable OCing 980ti would match them without the potential disadvantages of SLI though.

No idea where it is removed but if you can get one at that price I would. Might be abroad and the currency converter works out the same.
