BBC Three to move online from February

They've had a few early comedies that make it to BBC 2 but it is my default late night channel due to having the above.

I can see iPlayer being account only soon, they've slowly introduced more and more features that require you to sign in. Won't take much to have users assign a TV licence to that account.

Possible I suppose, I actually haven't had a licence for last 6 months and haven't missed watching "live" TV in the slightest, have enough content between Netflix and Amazon along with the BBCi player, C4 OD, ITV player, etc

Then again I was never big on TV, we didn't even have one in the student house I lived before this.

EDIT: Actually that's a lie I brought one in but no one turned it on once, apart from streaming the odd film over HDMI.

I tried watching Josh on bbc iplayer the other day. I think thats a BBC3 prog. Aaaaaaaand I turned it off after 10mins. Wasn't even remotely funny.

I watch the BBC for the news on a morning. Other than that it's just for any sport that's shown.

Family Guy and American Dad the best things BBC3 has done? I'm surprised it hasn't been cancelled years ago if that's the case.

With Netflix and AmazonPrime becoming more and more popular I don't think it'll be all that long before the BBC cut there losses with the whole license thing, I can't see how they can keep it up. It seems like more and more people are getting rid of theirs.

Most of the people in here complaining that it's a useless channel are the ones it's not intended for. :p

For anyone wondering why they were just showing repeats, guess what? Less people will watch it and BBC can just claim it's not popular enough. :)

It's aimed at 15-34 year olds. For me personally i won't be paying their license fee, Tony Hall and his brigade of corrupt scumbags can go suck a fat one.

Aren't most of the people here in that age bracket?

I don't believe so, at least not the ones that are currently in here saying it's a wasted channel. Most have their age turned off so i can't see if that's true or not, just an observation from when the proposals were initially made. Most 40 - 50 years old saying how boring a channel it is, no different from me saying BBC4 is a waste of money as in my eyes it is a waste of money.

I only left it this year, so for it's entire lifetime I was in that bracket and thought it garbage (including FG and AD)

I did say most people, not everyone. Don't think it should be going online at all, all they're doing with the money is putting it into ******** out more crappy drama.

Oh yeah, i wasn't saying everyone is the same as I, just that I do tend to assume most here are younger than I am.

It was more of an assumption, i have no way of proving anyones age on here unless it's in their profile.

Personally i'm not happy about it going online, as i'm sure you can tell. It's good that the BBC is making every effort to alienate their future funding source, i honestly hope that the BBC is privatised and force to fend for itself.
