That's a bit underwhelming. I might be keeping my 7970cf if that's all it ends up as. Are you sure you didn't miss a zero off the end Kaap?
We are talking about Small Pascal which most likely will come first.
Big Pascal will be about 80% faster than a 980 Ti but we won't see them until later if NVidia follow their normal marketing plan.

So the 1080Ti is small Pascal?
We don't know what Small or Big Pascal will be called.
There is a high probability that Small Pascal will launch first though if NVidia follow their normal marketing strategy.

Nobody knows, he is just going on what happened with the 28nm Nvidia releases ie gtx680/980. If nvidia follow a similar strategy then he might be right but i think we will see a 25% boost minimum which would still be disappointing considering all the new technology coming in this round with 14/16nm, HBM 2 and dx12. I know the current cards are dx12 but i would expect the next releases to kick the current lines to the curb in proper dx12 games.

And just for the record, I use my rig in the very little 'me' time I get and it's already ****ed me off that in Dying light I get flickering and in Fallout my X-fire doesn't work at all so with all that in mind it didn't take much for me to lose my patience very quickly with crossfire.
On prelaunch drivers, or 3-4 months in when they decide to cripple Maxwell like they did Kepler (which keeps getting slower and slower strangely

Agreed, both nV and AMD need to realise that us mGPU nutters shout the loudest when it comes to support/recommendations
Nvidia isn't either. There's simply too few ppl doing multi-gpu so support is lacking. But not just from Nvidia/AMD, a lot of game developers can't be bothered to do anything about it either, and it's not just the small fish, look at Blizzard games, pretty much all of them have missing support for multi-gpus.

Shouldn't Dx12 change that ?
I know you're very sceptical, but I still think 30% minimum for "high end" small Pascal. Even the 980 was at least that much faster than a 780/Titan. With a new architecture/die shrink we have to be at least a little optimistic.
