Previously I had an AOC 29" 2560x1080 UW and it was really nice to use but felt a little small vertically so ended up moving on to a 27" 2560x1440.
Instantly you miss the width but you soon get used to 16:9 again.
That said since the 34" models have come along I have constantly been looking at getting one but didn't really want to sacrifice GSYNC (you soon miss it when you don't have it) and the higher refresh rate of the ROG Swift.
This is a lot of money but decided to pull the plug and pick one up while on offer yesterday even though I was a little concerned with all the issues regarding back light bleed and IPS glow.
Anyway I have to say i'm pleasantly surprised, both BLB and IPS Glow are minimal, very minimal from my quick use of the monitor. The prize piece though is that 34" IPS screen, the real estate is just about perfect for a desktop pc and fills majority of my vision. I forgot how much better colours look too with an IPS after using a high end TN for a while. It also reaches the 100hz without hassle. It's also surprising how subtle but effective the curve is.
I'll be doing more tests when I'm off over the weekend but initial reports are it's a beauty.
So far my only gripes are cosmetic, i don't like the tacky Predator logo or the shiny back.
