Motherboard Question

Hey guys,
i am going to buy a new mobo so i can play with my 3570k. The thing is - is that the one i want to buy (ASUS P8H61-MX USB 3.0 Intel H61) has no I/O shield or backplate to it - its why its so cheap

I currently have an ASUS m5a78l-m/usb3 mobo and so will the back plate of that fit with the P8H61?

You do realise that you wont be able to OC the 3570k with a H61 mobo, you need a Z77 or a Z68(with a bios update).

ASUS m5a78l-m/usb3 is an AM3/AM3+ socket and so the backplate WONT fit. Im pretty sure you can just buy backplates for a few quid.

Just buy a cheaper Z77 mobo will be a lot less hassle in the end.

GA Z77 D3H is a really good mobo.

Should get a good overclock.

UPDATE: went with the Asrock z77 extreme4 and have had it for 1.5 years
