Which GTX 970?

Im still half tempted to go for an MSI or Gigabyte 970 next year and then sell the gainward.. I still have my mind set on a 970 being in my machine over the 390 I just think I could get a better card than the Gainward and then see some good results.

I doubt you'll see much improvement moving from brand to brand, nothing ground breaking anyway. I'm the opposite, I made the move from AMD/ATi to Nvidia in September after 8 years with them and I can't wait to go back. Getting rid of the 970 and moving to an MSI 390 this weekend.

Can't go far wrong with the msi 970 though, lovely card. Gave it to my brother as it was too big for my Corsair 240 case and started to crack the side panel.

Ended up buying an SC EVGA 970 for £239 black friday deal. Not sure whther it comes with the free game. Probably gonna sell my r9 290 for dirt cheap becuase of the blackscreen problem. Btw as of now that deal i mentioned is still in stock

youll need to let me know if you have an improvement over the 970 with the 390..

just the comparison video's ive watched between the 2 the 970 seems to have the edge over the 390.

I had the 7950 for about 2 years and loved it. it was a great card and served me well. only reason I parted with it is I got offered a nice price for it as me mate was wanting a matching card to his and as he put it.. he would rather buy one that he knew has never had any problems.. then I got offered the gainward around the same time so it was seemed like a good idea as I was looking to upgrade.
