Walking/running on black ice paths

Runners, dog walkers etc now that the icey nights and mornings and some days are here itr becomes harder out there. What do you do to stay on your feet when out on paths with black ice?
 
If there's a decent Shoe Repair/Cobblers close to you, then phone/pop in and ask them if they have any Grumm P-R Soles as these are by far the best soles for ice you can buy but not many places stock them as they are mainly for the Nordic Market, make sure ask for the Grumm P-R's though you don't want just any old R sole.
 
I use Yaktrax on packed snow and ice for running.

Bit of a faff for simply walking to car in the morning though.

I just embrace the miracle that is mavity.

But seriously, if it's really icy outside it's not worth running unless you're in training for a specific event. A fall can do far more damage to your exercise routine than a few rest days.

I twigged when I googled for "Grumm P-R Soles" and this thread appeared 4th :)
