Articles like this are pointless, they do nothing but squee "Oooo amazing innit", and don't bother to post the reasonable explanations for most of them.

Like Danikins 30ft light bulb, what a load of BS,
only he would see a squiggle as a filament rather than a Egyptian snake.
 
Interesting, they keep finding older and older civilisations. Often ancient cities are dismissed as just legend but are later discovered. Underwater archaeology normally plays a large role. Recently, Heracleion was discovered, apparently under 10m of water and 3m of silt. Stepped pyramids have been found off the coast of Japan and off the coast of Cambay (India) a huge city has been found, which is considered to be 9,000 years old.

Imagine what else is out there!

I don't know why historians are so resistant to it. I know it's expensive to do archaeology under water, but it makes perfect sense that civilization builds by water combine that with large ice age and you would expect a lot if lost cities.

However the article in op is just silly. What's that a 5meter light bulb, and being held by one person. Rofl, some people just see what they want.

I've seen that in the flesh in the Dendera Temple, Egypt.
When the guides talk about it, it's got nothing to do with a light bulb (obviously).

Sea level at the height of the last ice age must have been at least 120M below current levels.

This would only be 20,000 years ago or so.

There are millions of square miles of land that would have been inhabited by people that remain totally unexplored.

If it was me I would look to see where the river estuaries would have been 20,000 years ago and explore the sea bed.

As you say, You almost always find cities on the mouths of great rivers!
