*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Yeah I bought it in asda the other week for my nephew as a xmas present for £25

Hes having a pop at Sony, as always. Valve charged over £50 for the very same game on PC and Xbox live digital prices are no better , so the better question is why do publishers set the prices so high for digital games.

He is just a massive troll, and any chance he can he has a pop at Sony.

From what i gather it's so they don't finish of the brick and mortar shops as they need them. So they put the price above them, people still buy as loads want it digital and everyone is happy. (Well not so, but that doesn't matter)

I'd love in future though for digital to be a decent price rather than a £10-20 markup over retail costs.

Oh give up. It's not my fault that Sony have ridiculous PSN prices.

In fairness it would appear MGS is also £60 on Live, however on the whole Live does have far better digital prices than PSN. Fact. (Not that I was even discussing this originally, yet again!)

Havn't you given up trolling this thread yet either? - Get over it man, life is too short.

Sorry Mr men, didn't hear you considering you're on my block lists and I know you'll be trolling as well. I'll treat you with about as much respect as you deserve... None. As you're just as pathetic as pioneer2000 truth told..

I don't buy off of PSN or Live, both take the pee price wise. As bad as each other.

No idea why Pioneer needs to bring the console war type attitude along with his side kick Mr Men. Digital prices are crap all round. I'm sure Bill Gates is really proud of you both though.....

im sure its been said a few times before that on a lot of games Sony/MS don't set the digital prices of the on the psn/live stores its the publishers.

Digital prices have been high on both PS/XB for years now.

if sony or ms don't have any say then how do publishers justify charging more for a digital copy over a hard copy. bare in mind the only costs of a digital copy is bandwidth and with a physical copy you have manufacturing costs, packaging costs, transport costs, storage costs then the actual retailing costs (staff, rent, utilities, etc).

digital if anything should be about half the price.

i believe sony or ms do dictate the digital prices some what by taking a huge cut of the sale.

say a game costs £60 on PSN the publisher most likely only ever gets about £30 of that with the other £30 going elsewhere is how i think it works which is why games are much more expensive digitally.

Yep, been using one for ages. Absolutely love it and being able to change the game/voice level on the headset is great. Woudlnt be without mine.
