***Lumia 950/950XL***

Slight processor and battery bump in the XL though battery will likely last similar as it needs to power the bigger screen and not sure you will notice the processor in the real world as both strong.
 
Not sure about in store, but Argos did have them in stock for home delivery with a 1 day delivery time which has now moved to 'within 5 days' delivery. Hopefully mine will turn up today as originally stated. Although judging by the press Argos has been getting lately I won't be surprised if it takes a few days.

I called Voda this morning and they are saying availability very end of the month. I asked them to put me on sim only (I am on a business contract with 5 phones) for my line so I could just buy one. The sim only price they offered was only £6 per month cheaper than with a top end handset, which is clearly rubbish.

I have supposedly pre-ordered but the person on the phone was such a lackwit I would be very surprised if he processed it right. He could barely string a sentence together.
 
I'm letting the dust settle before ordering again. The company I was getting mine from still has it marked as pre-order yet should be delivering by now (was told by the 3rd) although they seemed to think they would have them to ship out very soon. Hoping there will be better availability in the new year.
Argos have indeed gone from 1 to 5 days delivery - and you can't get them delivered to a local store to collect which was what I was hoping for.
 
Still no sign of delivery from MS :(

I ordered way back in 27/10 with a ship by date of 03/12 ie today.

My order still is 'in process'.

Has any one received theirs from MS yet? Starting to think I should just cancel and buy cheaper elsewhere if the phone isn't going to arrive anytime soon.

Right, just off the phone to Argos. Apparently the '1 day home delivery' was a mistake on the website, and the phones will be available within 5 days direct from the supplier.

Argos are a joke, wouldn't have been so bad if they'd kept me in the loop, save me sitting around waiting for the delivery.

Not ordered the continuum dock not really bothered with it tbh. Been using it since it came and its not a bad phone. Not had any performance issues of yet its fast and smooth for me.

If you are premium phone person you won't like it though as it does feel kinda cheap compared to phones around today. I also have a IPhone 6s and a Galaxy s6 edge and it does feel rather cheap compared.

The retina scanner works fine for me but you are looking at maybe 12 inches away, I look in the red light as its scanning and its opened every time.
Its fast and snappy phone not noticed any real performance issues as yet.

The camera is good am really impressed with the flash side will put a few on here showing it against the S6 Edge, it takes good pictures with plenty of detail. The flash is best I have used that's not a proper xenon flash and being able to adjust it after they photo means you can get the look you are after. The ones below are just point and shoot.

One with it next to the S6 edge for size comparison. I have downscaled the pictures so they small on here.

ajdjackson I had a delivery note from the MS Store today (package last seen in Tamworth), so it should be delivered tomorrow.

(my was a pre-order unit from Oct 30th)
 
Ive noticed a strange banding across the middle of the screen on mine when I playback 4k video I have recorded, its not on it when I am recording just playback.

Only shows up in landscape also.

Yeh Argos have been useless, had to ring them 3 times to find out what was going on (2 hours on hold). 1 day delivery was incorrect and should have been 3-5 days as with all there online only stuff.

As its coming from there supplier they cant give me a tracking number or phone number to track my parcel as they do not know that information themselves. Hell they don't even know what courier it is, where its coming from, what days or time it might arrive and as its going to my work address I'm slightly annoyed by that...

I did get a text at 10:30 pm (yes pm) from them last night saying I will have it no later then the 6th, so to me that means today only (site says you have to play extra from weekend delivery) but I have yet to receive any confirmation of it being shipped. So it may or may not turn up at work during the weekend (woo) and as I have no idea who is shipping it or the courier company they are using it I cant ring them to change the address.

Safe to say this is the last time I order anything that is online only from Argos. ( I have been spoiled my OCUK, 1 day free delivery, contact numbers, 1 hour time slot etc make ordering from anywhere else a pain)
