Hey all.
I like in Stoke On Trent and I am trying to plan a weekend away for me and the girlfriend.

So far we have done:
- Day out in Llandudno.
- Lake Keswick (Lake District) in a B&B. Very nice. 1 night.
- Easton (Summerset) in a lovely wooden lodge. Was down there to visit her Dad, see the Wells carnival and visit Cheddar.

I am willing to pay up to £100 per night if the place is good and ideally want the travel time to be <2 hours each way.

I am totally new to this 'weekend away' malarky, but will keep it UK based for now.

Also as this is GD, I have already asked a checkout girl out, took a poo through my own letterbox, smashed a pasty, shaved with mustard and took out a 20% APR car loan over 7 years.

Have you declared your shop status or the time length to get a weapon though?

Is there anything in particular you have in mind or any suggestions at that price and distance?

York is lovely but accommodation is very expensive and you can see the city in a single day. Consider staying in Leeds and doing a day trip to York, you will get a better hotel for the money and tick off two cities rather than one.

She has suggested York :).
I had forgotton those! Just post some Syria war crap I know little about on my Facebook just to make sure I made up for that.

:D.

Try marmaduke house hotel I stayed once a while ago and it was very nice. Think they've been taken over since I was there though.

About£70 a night I think was very nice.

Wasn't a huge amount to do in the area but if you're driving that's not really an issue.

How about Chester? Not too far away but its a nice drive. Some brilliant restaurants there, Upstairs at the Grill is my personal favourite. Theres a nice spa called the club and spa if thats your sort of thing, plus the zoo. To be fair Chester is just a lovely place :)

That's what she said. :p

Lake District is always nice, weather permitting.

Freezing cold, Torrential rain, floods, gale force winds , black sky..... just your average day up here

And thats before the storms are due to hit

If youre looking fun activities etc pop over to centre parcs in sherwood forest. :) or If you want a chill weekend go Lake district, never been myself but I've only heard great things.

Or go for a nice spa weekend.
