*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

I much prefer the disc option personally. Often cheaper, quicker to play/install, you can sell it after should you want to and you physically get something.

A physical disc is by far superior option, especially for those of us who have a **** internet connection. Also, I've been playing games since before the VCS2600 and not once have I ever lost or broke any form of physical media. God knows what these people are doing if they can't transfer a disc safely between a box and a console and back again without ****ing it up.

So ps2 games are coming to ps4:

8 fan-favourite PS2 games launch on PS4 today

PS2 remains the best-selling console of all time. Above and beyond the technical innovations that made PS2 stand apart is the caliber of amazing and much-loved games, such as Dark Cloud, Twisted Metal Black, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas just to name a few.

To celebrate our PS2 heritage, I am excited to announce that as of 8.00pm GMT tomorrow, 5th December, you will be able to purchase and play a range of PS2 games on your PlayStation 4!

For a console, a physical disc is the only purchase that makes financial sense. No-one plays a game forever, and at least you can sell it and recoup money towards another game when you get tired of it.

Uncharted Collection is £24.99 for 48 hours on PlayStation Store. I'm definitely getting it at that price but I've got no room to install it!

That's why I've decided to put a 2tb drive in mine - game installs are huge, and I hate having to delete things.

Well I've tried the World of Tanks open beta and it's safe to say if I want to play anymore WoT it'll be on PC. Just controls horribly, can't remember it feeling this bad when I played it on 360, or maybe its that after so many rounds of it on PC I'm just too used to m&kb for it.

Currently playing the world of tanks beta. It's a good laugh. Just wish my mates would stop calling it lame and download it. It'd be a right hoot deathmatching this

What's the menu layout like?

I remember having a hard time with that other game, war planes or whatever it was called.

At first it's a little difficult. The only advice I can give is don't storm in all guns blazing in a light tank, you'll last 2 seconds.

Take your time and use cover like it's life or death. Even racing in to the action in a medium tank is almost certain death. Once you get the hang of it though it's rather good fun. Very satisfying getting kills :D

For some reason I've only got three factions available to me a at the moment. (America, Russia and Germany) where on xbox one I had about 6 different countries from the off. Weird.

Edit. If you play the beta now you get two premium tanks for free. They're not too shabby.
