AMD's Low Framerate Compensation For Nvidia ?

These blur reduction technology can never be used with freesync or Gsync.. Least not with back lighting.
Because how the display needs to strobe it changes the effect of refresh rate to flicker so fast.

Because Freesync and GSync need to change the refresh rate on the fly this can't happen with the back light strobing.

Ulmb is Nvidia's tech it's from light boost and it's locked to Nvidia but like meny review sites have said it effects the brightness and colour.

Other methods out there do a better job and it open to the users to pick and choose how much they want to strobe the light etc blurbusters offer a utility app for other monitors. But sadly not nvidia because again it's locked and what nvidia thinks is best is what you get.

Aren't you locked to certain refresh rates with ULMB? Cant remember what they are on the swift as I haven't tried it yet.

The other methods also affect brightness and colour so I don't know how blurbusters utility is "better". I also prefer just going into NVCP using the drop down menu to set ULMB and get on with it, not having to install and setup a 3rd party app.

ULMB is used to give you a competitive advantage, not make things look nice. Hence why I use it in CSGO a game where if you take it seriously you shouldn't be using max settings and stuff anyway.
 
The blur reduction you mentioned shankly, iirc benq introduced that some time ago. There was a Z model of the fp241w 24" I think it had that had this feature.
 
I used it on my old BenQ and it did the same thing with brightness and colour as what ULMB does as it's basically the exact same thing.

This app is a BENQ authorized 3rd party utility

Again because this is open to the user to change how they like they can change how the brightness is less effected etc the AVG Joe can just enable it on BenQ or any other monitor and get on with it... But this is PC gaming we not console gamers and thats the difference. For people like myself who dont like to have there hands holder all the way we can freely change things..

Isn't that what PC gaming is for OPEN platform to do what you please???

Upping the brightness btw takes away from the purpose of blur reduction.

As you can see in the screenshot of the app, every notch towards brighter screen adds 0.5ms of blur persistence.

It does but you can tweak it in away you loose very little blur and keep the image much brighter than stock.
Anyways my point was to just show ULMB isn't the only tech out there like Andy was pointing out.

LFC is solid, works mostly as advertised and is a needed addition to the FreeSync software suite that honestly, AMD should have thought about prior to release. Regardless, it’s here now, as a free software upgrade for users of compatible monitors, and gaming is better because of it.

Well I was just watching an AMD video and they were talking about when the games FPS goes below the Freesync threshold which on some monitors is 35Hz, LFC kicks in and considering G-Sync is limited by 30-165Hz currently I was curious.

Pc per had a video out quite a while back where they did some testing and at that time G-sync was slipping extra frames in when it went below the working sync range but free-sync didn't. If I'm right this is basically free-sync adding that feature in.

IMO it was an important advantage that G-sync no longer has which is great for those of us on AMD.
