Fire Strike Ultra score: 4636

Fire Strike Extreme score: 8599

--------------------------------------------

MSI 980ti Golden edition:

Fire Strike Ultra score:4398

Fire Strike Extreme score:8101

---------------------------------------------

SLI on both MSI cards

Fire Strike Ultra score: 7757

What score did you get on your 980ti on ultra and extreme?

What settings are you running them at? Stock
What overclocking tool are you using? none
What CPU and overclocks on that are you running?
stock

Well I have Firestorm app and its got a quck and easy overclock button, its got 3 levels, currently im level one which is stock..

You know people go SLI right, and they talk about profiles, profiles for games, do I need this and where do I download them from?

Also running 980ti sli you need to use a bridge, I ve measured the space between both cards, one card is at PCIe slot 1 and the other on PCIe slot 3, it is 3 and a half inches across, thats 89mm

but the msi bridge for sale is for the 1st and 4th slot at 60mm across, i ges there no 89mm bridge right?

What motherboard are you using? The sli bridges are supplied with the board, often you will get several in the accessory pack depending on the model of board.

Or get a flexible one
And yes you do need one for SLI
You also need to go in to NVCP and click on enable SLI

You also need to download MSI Afterburner to over clock the cards if you want to replicate the scores people are getting in the bench threads

Profiles are included in the normal drivers, so if a game has an SLI profile available it will use it (assuming you have fitted an SLI bridge and enabled SLI in control panel)

What CPU do you have?

i have 3 sli bridges that came with my gaming 5p mobo, they are a xfire one, a 3 and 4 way sli bridge, but they are of hard plastic and cannot be bent, i tried to use them but it doesn't fit right, i followed the mobo manual as it states if you run 2 cards then slot 1 and 3 must be used.

I think the bridges i have is from my old x58 mobo, but looking online cant find any, you know I would like the fancy led lit sli bridge.

yeah i have activated this setting in the control panel, in the 3d settings its the "maximise 3d settings tab" im sure thats the sli activation button.

And pysicx is set to auto, thats is right? right...

oh i have a 5820 so cant go more than 2 way sli at the mo, will consider upgrading to a 5930...

I think I have a bendy SLI bridge if you want it?

Yeah Physx is correct on Auto.

I'm fairly sure SLI is an "Enable SLI" button in the control panel, from when I had mine.

Surprised you got a xfire bridge. Usually theyre supplied by the card vendor. Whereas sli bridges come with the board.

I've got them with Asus ROG boards. Lovely black things with the ROG logo on in white :)
My previous board was an ROG maximus 6 formula, only came with one sli bridge. As i bought my current board secondhand im not sure wether the two flexible sli bridges that came with it are the proper ones. Both identical length 2 way models, (95mm).

oh, ive gone on to the settings and its definatley under "sli configuration" and then "maximise 3d performance"

I would have thought it would have been under "activate or enable sli" or something like that..

i have a bendy xfire bridge but that wont work right?

I dont understand why all the sli bridges are 2 slots in length, I mean 3.5 inches 89mm in width, measured.

But all the premium sli bridges for sale are 60mm in length, like the evga and msi ones

Ive seen a flexible one on amazon for £8

so basically u dont need a sli bridge for 980ts's unless you want to use the profiles right?

sorry man, 1st time im on the sli road so its kinda new to me
