I have the original invoice for my car from 2006, £27,500 for a GT model.
With the CTR starting at £30k, I can see an S2000 successor [depending on performance and development costs/market placement/ being a huge amount more.
"...six-speed manual gearbox."

Why would it have anything but a 6 spd manual? It's not a big heavy BMW.
Because a lot of people don't want a manual and prefer a DSG or auto.
Have to say as sacrilegious as it is, when I had my S2000 occasionally when having a spirited drive, and as amazing as the manual box is, I did sometimes think 'this would be awesome with a nice quick paddle box'![]()
From what I've read of the new s2000 it's not for me
Last I read
Underpowered and overpriced
Much better cars for under its price point
But we have no idea what the price will be or what the power output will be either. Nothing has been released by Honda and all information so far is just guesswork and computer renderings.
