Rainbow Six: Siege (PS4 & Xbox One)

Servers were all over the place last night on PS4. Game seriously needs host migration too, particularly with Terrorist Hunt when randoms rage quit after dying.

Apart from that, absolutely loving it. The hostage extraction mode is so intense. A team of 5 of us managed to grab the hostage smoothly, escort them close to the extraction zone feeling pretty invincible only to then get ambushed and entirely wiped out in a cross fire. It's refreshing to play something where you genuinely feel cautious at every turn. Sense of threat is always high.

This, you cannot go running around a corner as you'll end up dead. I always make sure to take out cameras too. Everything time I see the You've been spotted icon I'm thinking, oh ****, they know where I am.

As a defender, you usually camp around the objective or at least around the rooms close by. Hearing them breach a wall or door with a faint boom in the distance, knowing they are on their way is terrifying. You know that in a minute or so, all hell will break loose.

Had an amazing game last night as defender. Someone put wire down all around the hostage and then I electrified it with Bandit. The assaulters managed to breach, kill the defenders in the room, and then two of them got electrified once they reached the wire! So we won.
 
Trying to get hold of this but it is out of stock at the cheapest place that sells it. Dunno whether to wait or just go to a supermarket and pay a higher price and get it today instead.
 
Me and my mate are playing this for the next few weeks. Didn't expect to like it but I've ended up enjoying the slower more methodical play style and it feels pretty good when you pull off good team work together.

Can't believe how silent this thread is, one of the best if not the best shooters to grace this gen! It also brings players together with not that many opting for party chat.

Went under the radar for me, Is this mainly multiplayer focused or can it be played single player?
 
I would have jumped on this for £30 but there isn't a game selling Tesco near me since they closed the large one at Cribbs and I am done with driving around until Boxing Day now :p.
 
Yeah mainly MP like chatty said, but it's barrels of fun if you have a squad of mates or come across some good talking randoms when match making on your own.

What's even better is Ubisoft have confirmed all future DLC is free, as it should be for every game IMO
