Hi, I am going to overclock my Skylake 6700K and be using the Corsair H80i GT Rad/cooler, I am only able to use one of the fans though that come with it because I am restricted to space, the fans that come with the H80i GT are the "Corsair SP120L" models, seemingly they are slightly better at cooling than the standard SP120 models so I was told.

Anyway, how do you think this will clock up with just the one fan on that rad and obviously my case fans too ?

Thanks guys.

Don't expect the same results as a 240mm rad, but I got my 4790k to 4.6GHz no problem with good temps too.

One vs two fans gave me 2-3 degrees change at most in synthetic benchmarks, I wouldn't worry.

sounds excellent mate :) I am/was rather worried to be honest, I was going to try for 4.6 OC firstly and then maybe move upwards if poss

That was my aim, but looks like I lost the silicon lottery :(

Going back to air though, the H80i's fans aren't the quietest, so for me I decided to move it on.

Do you just use one or two fans on the H80i GT Rad mate ?

Seems strange you cant get it to clock more than 4.6 but there again I have been reading and watching stuff on my CPU the i7 6700K and not your model, but I would expect maybe to be similar, I dont know, maybe the 6700K uses less volts and is less hot compared to yours, I dont know, a stable 4.6 is good anyway is it not ?

I could have got more out of it but stopped at 1.32v. Temps were always more than acceptable but it just turned into a BSOD-fest, so I stuck at 4.6 and lived with it.

I started with two fans on the radiator, I now have 1 in push and it works fine for me.
