What's it like for all you to be stuck behind a tractor or other farm machinery? By knowing how you guys feel I can take that into account the next time I'm on the road :)

Irritating to say the least.
Especially when they are around during morning rush hour.
I know the farmers have a job to do, but do they REALLY need to go out on the road at the busiest time of day?
It also annoys me that many refuse to pull over even when there is a jam behind them. A few could do with reading the Highway Code about slow moving vehicles!

Consolation is there re a couple with JCB Fastracs. They are pretty racy!

Does this really need to be asked?

I was have a discussion with a friend over a CB today while driving on the road and we had about 30 cars stuck behind us becuase we had no where to pull in for a very long time and so we just wanted to know what goes through your minds :)

I agree that some farmers dont pull over when they should, but sometimes the implement they have attached limits to where they can pull in becuase it is likely to stick out on the road causing a hazard

Don't mind it too much, though a lot of the youngsters in the farm game seem not to have been taught a bit of etiquette, my grandad always drummed it in to me that I should pull over as soon as I could if I saw over 5 cars behind me. Let them past and get on my way again.

Yes exactly, and I think that it's you can miss 2 pull ins before you legally have to let everyone past

What about all the ****e you spread all over the road ?
If you were a vehicle exiting a construction site you would be prosecuted.

Can't use a phone and a CB doesn't come with the same restrictions, plus the fact it works anywhere as long as you are close enough to the person you want to talk to and it's freeeeeeeeeeee.
Great bit of kit really if you are in multiple vehicles.
Used hand held ones when we went on a "ring trip" and use a proper one in the 4x4 when greenlaning
