I've just ordered a new PC, went through all the hitachi finance forms, got approved, e-signed it all and when I press the 'next' button to get taken back to OCUK I get this message:

HITACHI FINANCE

The credit application could not be completed.

Your order has been cancelled.

Code: CreditApplicationFailed

The item in my orders is 'In Progress' and I have an order number etc so I'm not even sure if its gone through or not.

Has anyone else has this problem with Hitachi or know a way around it?

Quickest way to get it resolved would be to phone em up Monday morning.

(Even if people have run into it before there is no knowing for sure what the state of the order is within OcUK's systems).

Heads up to all of you!

I had exactly the same Code: CreditApplicationFailed when I tried to order a part via my Credit Card on the new OCUK store. Even though it said it had failed, I phoned up OCUK and it was actually accepted and the order was waiting to be packaged.

The new site is naff ( plus the design ) and never had any problems with any CC, even that one on the old site

0% if you pay it back within the term. I've used it loads.

OP - ignore the judge-mentalists and just call OCUK on Monday.

with an admin fee...

0% on plenty of credit cards and for a longer term + often rewards points too

tis quite obviously a better decision to use a credit card

For all you people shouting credit card.

Credit is credit no matter what the name is, or strap as us common people would call it.

Hitachi are not a bad company, we use credit all the time. Buy now pay later etc.
As long as you pay it in time, the is no interest. So it don't matter what the % rate is if you can pay it off in time.

If you cannot guarantee you will pay it off, then don't go there. ;)

Hitachi finance is the same as a credit card, its a buy now pay later.

Pay before term 6,9,12 depending on amount, pay it up in time no different than a credit card.
Except you get a little longer and pay more interest, if you don't pay back in time.

If I apply for credit in my name the computers crash. Trust me I know credit! :por thinking about is it debit as its a debt.... oxymoron maybe. :D

again...

you've basically made no argument there against the valid points raised re: credit cards

no admin fee
collect points
longer interest fee period

what benefits does Hitachi Finance have?
