EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 PWM (incl. pump)

If you dont connect the pwm signal, it runs at full speed

It might run at full speed if you don't connect the PWM, although there are multiple threads with people with issues running these @ full speed to fill them without PWM.

Best suggestion is to get a constant 5v feed and apply it to the PWM pin for the pump, this will force it to run at full speed.
There should be some threads on here which explain how to do that.

Thanks, now to try and find these posts!!

I'm not too sure about its dimensions compared to other pumps but I was quite surprised how wide it was which the my build off and needed me to rethink a few things. And from what I've read, if you don't do some pwm hocus pocus then it will run at 10%

Does it take like 30mins for the liquid to get around to the end of the loop if it's on the Lowest pwm setting?

I'm about to do mine and have a pwm but never done it on anything before so curious. Could a slow filling loop case a problem or something? Tbh if it doesn't cause. A problem I would rather it take more time as I can be more careful.

Found this diagram for forcing full power on the pump.

Found it here. (not the same pump, but should be the same wires.)

Hope it is of some help. :)

No it will take 5 seconds as opposed to 3 seconds. However the reason you want a high flow speed is to push trapped air out of rads and blocks. Running a slower speed will likely leave pockets of air in the system. Howev you can once full just run the software to speed the fan up and give your pc a lift and rotate about, thats all i do and the air then moves to the res.
