Sorry to disappoint lol, I appreciated the advice and input.

The climate is an irritant but wan't a deal breaker. I know the standard fit to the 13 plate, the exceptions being the HUD, extended black cluster, adaptive (common in pre 12 plates it seems) and I believe this specific bluetooth option.

I will take out the extended warranty before 60k (currently do about 8-9k per year). I understand BMW quote a little less if you move to it straight from the manufacturers 3 year, is this usually the case?

Yes, you get a discount of about 10% for a renewal plus you can keep zero excess if you desire.

Get yourself a Merc, E Class or C Class. They are really good cars and they have some good deals on at the moment.

Enjoy! If you don't need the extra power then there's not really much point in getting the 530d. Will cost more to refuel, insure and run in the long-term.

At least you got one with good spec. HUD is awesome

Of course. I'd take the added refinement of the 6-pot as well, but the 520d isn't THAT bad..

I guess tax is more on the 530d as well?
