New Car

Forget it. I will never been asking for any other advice or help on here again, if i am going to get this kind of problems or issues.
I have been a member since 2012 and i have never had the same issues as today. So thank you OCUK forum and Goodbye.

I put what i wanna in a new car but i did not need people putting

So the real question is probably; "Parents have given me £25K to spend on a new car and I know absolutely nothing about this subject. I do however currently own a diesel A Class and love how good this badge makes me feel. Any recommendations to maximise my social status with a new car for this kind of budget? Side note: Budget is potentially unlimited if I request a new car for Christmas"

You've obviously never ventured into motors in those 3 years then, this is a pretty common route for threads to take round here.

And for your info i work 30-39 hours a week along side my Uni degree.

Keep the A class and free yourself from the annoyance of having to work alongside your full time uni course.

Has to be better use of 35k than a depreciating brand new diesel.

If you wanted focused advice then perhaps starting with something more than spec me a car with some mirrors would have been prudent.

Maybe i should have try to put more information but i did not want to put to much info so i could see what people think about a new car.

you need to be more specific, saying I want a "car with 5 seats, xenon heads and mirrors" basically means any thing from skoda to s class merc.. and the fact that it needs to be brand new is just a joke, buy something with 3-4k miles on it and it'll be as new - 5-10k of the price

if you want proper advice then put a little more detail

That's not how to ask for recommendation. Being vague as Fox said, won't result in good suggestions.

or use this :p

Too many questions for OcUK. Needs to be along the lines of

big car -> diesel Mondeo
smaller car -> 1.6 Focus

I do about 10-15k a year

A petrol would be fine at that mileage - a 182bhp Focus ecoboost that I mentioned earlier would deliver decent economy when you wanted it, whilst still having plenty of performance available.

But by not giving any information (other than odd requirements like "mirror pack"), you are going to get suggestions ranging from a supermini to an executive estate, and everything in between. The fact that the budget jumped 10k as soon as the 3 executive German makes were justified to be out of your original budget is a big alarm bell for most here.

You could have told us your inside leg measurement and the name of your first pet and still get recommended a Mondeo.

Obviously as neither of those things are of any use when recommending cars.

And anyone who recommends a brand new Mondeo should be ignored.

Maybe he just likes looking at himself in the extra mirrors that come with the mirror pack?

The issue with buying a new Ford Focus with your own money is that in 3 years it'll be worth peanuts. (This is only relevant if you care about depreciation)

He's obviously got a load of disposable income if he can bump his budget by £10k on a whim...

Looking good for low depreciation leans towards the German brands.

Audi A3/A4 S Line
BMW 1/4 Series M-Sport
Mercedes A Class/C Coupe AMG Line
