if Islamists - we'll he'll be on overdrive.... if foreign passport holding Islamists he'll gain a surge in support
if 4chan poster/lone nutter getting into an autistic rage at 'normies' and going for a mass shooting school attack.... we'll he'll probably ignore it and his supporters would emphasise that this is why Americans need guns to keep themselves safe

What I don't get is why they target schools?
Same reason as why they targeted a metal band concert? Coverage due to the sheer randomness and numbers in a small area.

Now if it was all the schools in NY, then you might be onto something...
I was merely making a statement that the fallout from this will only fuel the paranoid states and strengthen the position on controlling with fear.
A single email can close down an entire city of schools... Sure you can't risk students lives but since when did ISIS give warnings?
Wouldn't surprise me if it was a drill to see how they would manage.

Look at it the other way. What would have happened if it was real and they ignored the warnings? There is no win situation.
Is it not pretty obvious, innocent school kids, soft targets, maximum terror effect.
