PT demo on UK psn?

Glad this method works for people, everyone should do this asap if they have not got PT already, my guess is this method won't last long nor will the game files remain on Sonys servers or be accessible by users. Sony could plug the hole at any moment if they wish to.
 
All methods only work assuming you actually "bought" the license for the demo way back when you could. If you never got around to "buying" it then you can't install it.
 
I can't imagine Sony will be best pleased about this workaround, hopefully they don't go to the extremes of banning accounts, it won't exactly be hard for them to see who has downloaded the game in the last month.
 
I really don't get why they don't put it on the store and charge for it, there is clearly a huge demand for it. I'd happily pay
 
Sure, understandable but if I was in either camp, I'd be putting my differences aside to make an easy buck.

They could probably charge £10-12 for it and it would still sell hundreds of thousands of copies

Well if I'm reading that guide right, the proxy is actually intercepting the request for the download to point it at someone else hosting the .PKG file and the .JSON file, so I don't think Sony will actually see the request? Unless it logs when you actually hit download button..
 
Thanks, just upgraded to a 2tb and used the proxy method. Not all plain sailing wouldn't work on my laptop had to use my pad instead.
 
Just digging this up again,

Did the people that used the proxy successfully download the demo?

m3kal: You were very keen to get the demo, did you need a new pair of pants after playing?
