The Shortest Day

Oh I don't know. We've had Starwars IV, V and VI on all day here, played an awful lot of Mario Kart, and we're now off to the new StarWars film at the screen the company has hired tonight :D.

You jammy devils!! What sort of company do you work for? The week running up to Christmas was always business as usual at everywhere I've worked (both public and private sector).

I love winter but the darkness does kill me. Not too bad now I live down at 37*, at 56*back home in Scotland it was a nightmare.

I work at a software company. Perks include free food (good food too) all day, regular mini-golf tournaments in the office, four games consoles for mario kart/fifa ladders, massages, haircuts, bike maintenance (they want to encourage people to ride in), one barista day/month (where they bring in a coffee company and serve different flavoured coffees that we can vote on to buy for the machines), company funded sports clubs (eg they pay for squash and badminton courts, football courts), regular days out etc. I think it's probably best described as a creche for adults.

It's a bit of a blast working here, and quite a change from the large Enterprise I left recently, who paid well but hadn't a clue how to treat staff.
