New Appliances

Ordered everything through AO.com.

Phoned them up as the fridge freezer was £50 cheaper elsewhere and they matched it.

Waiting for delivery on Tuesday :D
 
We have an LG direct drive and brush-less washing machine which is still going strong after over a decade:eek:
Not a single fault and it has been seriously abused over the years! (large family so used almost daily)
 
My appliances are all Siemens and are performing flawlessly after 5 years with the exception of the washing machine that's had new brushes fitted. wouldn't be surprised if they last another 5.

I have a Bosch washer and it's the brushes that have also been replaced on mine too.

When I do replace it, I'm making sure the next Bosch has a brushless motor - I'm certain the higher end of their washers no longer use brushed motors.

Had my american fridge freezer and dishwasher delivered is morning! :D pretty impressed so far by the quality of both appliances. Suprisingly the Dishwasher says made in Germany!

Did anyone else bother with extending their warranties ?

Bosch do 4 years for £89 free the dishwasher.

Washer/dryer came in the wrong colour so sent it back... Have to wait till the 27th to get it now...

Has the dishwasher got a full metal tub?
 
Probably a bit late to the party....

I bought a Miele washer back in 2013 and expect it to easily last at least 10 years.... thats how long the warranty was :)

When we renovated our house in late 2014 I bought all Neff built in appliances (Hob, Hood, and then Combi Microwave Oven and single Oven with the slide and hide door) I'd hope to be getting ~10 years from them also.

You can obviously spend less - and I think if I hadn't gone for Neff & Miele I'd have looked at Samsung - but for me I wanted the best I could afford, and I couldn't justify the cost on top of Neff for Miele built in appliances.
 
Tried using the dishwasher, that AO installed, on christmas day for the firsttime and the check water light came on. Customer services were closed so tried troubleshooting it myself. The problem was that they installed the intake on an upward pipe which has no pressure whatsoever unless the downward pipe below is connected as well. As they didn't bring my washer dryer the other day, that pipe was unconnected.

I connected the dishwasher to the downard pipe and it worked, and now the upwardhas pressure too. However the intake hose wont reach that intake connection, so now I've moved it forwards and conneted it from the cabinet front.


They arecoming today to connect the washer dryer, I'll let them know and hopefully they'll sort it.
