Hi All!

So ive spent the last few weeks deciding on a new PC.

After reading reviews etc i think im finally ready to purcahse.

This PC will be used for Video Editing, Gaming & 3D Graphics.

Can you lovely people please sanity check this spec and ensure evrything is fine before i order :)

Weirdly on the webiste it says the Mobo + CPU bundle is in stock, however in my basket its sold out? :(

Ill be installing Windoows 7 from my old PC :)

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,625.46
(includes shipping: £27.60)

any particular reason going for a full tower case with a Matx motherboard?
Also spending that kind of money may aswell spend an extra £30 and get a water AIO cooler

Hi

You won't get the full potential of the SSD with the Gigabyte board as it only has a M.2 x2 slot (10Gb/s). The MSI board below has a M.2 x4 slot (32Gb/s). Also matx will look a bit odd in a full tower case.

The Corsair RMx 850W is a bit cheaper. You get a 7 year warranty, and 100% Japanese caps. It is a very good psu.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,614.52
(includes shipping: £14.70)

If you don't mind White Ram then you can get the MSI board with a set of Ram as a bundle to save a bit more.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £228.48
(includes shipping: £10.50)

I think it must be a bug with the website, as most bundles that are in stock show as out of stock when added to your basket.

Thats better. I personally would dump the H100i for something like a Triton as they seem to have a good track record in reliability and are a step closer to custom loop performance. Parts are also replaceable if something goes awry or you want to expand the loop.

Is the second SSD for storage?

Not hating, i have decided to do the same but tbh that is because i dont need the storage and rather have the speed

I'm not very clued up on the whole IAO/Water Coolers in all honesty, so not sure what to go for!

Second SSD is for storage as ill be editing HD footage from recordings to nice to have the second SSD to store completed videos and use the main HDD to record on. as the Read/Writre speeds are insnane.

If you get that cooler then buy proper fans for it. The stock fans are whooshy and not great. They do the job but can be a bit noisy.

Look for Corsair SP 120 fans as replacements....an extra £23

Will the fans that come with the PC case be sufficent or maybe change those too?

Yeah will be fine as the AIO will direct the hot air out the case. The GPU will be fine in the case with just stock fans but if you are uncomfortable with warm-ish temps you could replace them. I would say play teh case fans by ear adn go for a Triton AiO unit, if you wanted you could fit a 360m up top i believe.

That's almost the same spec as mine.
I had mine in the Phanteks luxe case but moved it into a primo as I like to have lots of room.
I originally had the Samsung SM951 SSD but it went belly up so I now have a normal M2 SSD and the RMA'd Samsung SSD is in my NUC. I wouldn't waste money on one as other than benchmarks there's not a lot in it between them and a normal M2 SSD.
There's a couple of discrete mounting slots for 2.5" SSD's in the luxe so it will still look tidy even with a few different drives.
